1.) Nokia should work at creating a smart phone that is comparable to the iPhone and blackberry in order to compete effectively in the U.S. Their market share has been dropping in the last few years in the U.S. so they need to find a way to compete more effectively there. Developing a smart phone may be a possible opportunity. (Emily)
2.) Third party applications allow a platform to more readily adapt to customer needs and desires. Nokia should market their development tools in an attempt to encourage third party developers to adopt them. (Spencer)
3.) Nokia should work on trying to produce their phone in a more inexpensive/cost-effective way. This will help create a phone that is cheaper and more affordable for the consumer which, in the long-run, may increase the number of phones sold. This could potentially raise their market share. That is one possible recommendation but like we said in class we can all just try to come up with at least 1 (or a few, doesn't matter) and then we can decide which 3 or 4 are the best that we should put in the paper. I think 3 or 4 would be plenty...
